ADHD is commonly categorised into three types, each presenting with its own unique characteristics:

Types of ADHD

Combined Presentation
When a person exhibits a combination of symptoms, including hyperactivity, inattention, and impulsivity.

Predominantly Inattentive Presentation
A person experiences challenges with focusing, sustaining attention, and staying organised.

Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive Presentation
When someone exhibits multiple characteristics of impulsivity and hyperactivity.
At HealthSync Care, we offer specialised, evidence-based ADHD assessments for adults who are seeking answers, clarity, or a formal diagnosis. Whether you’re exploring ADHD for the first time or have lived for years wondering why certain tasks feel harder for you than others, we’re here to help you better understand your neurodivergent mind—without judgment.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) often starts in childhood—but it’s not just a childhood disorder. Many adults live for years without a diagnosis, learning to mask symptoms or compensate in other ways.
In adults, ADHD often presents as:
- Difficulty concentrating or staying focused
- Feeling mentally “scattered” or disorganised
- Struggling with time management and procrastination
- Restlessness or racing thoughts
- Impulsive decision-making or speaking without thinking
- Emotional dysregulation (frustration, low tolerance to stress)
- Frequently losing items or forgetting appointments
If this sounds familiar, an adult ADHD assessment can offer insight—and open doors to support and strategies that actually work for you.

Our Assessment Process
Step 1: Initial ADHD Evaluation Appointment
Initial Evaluation
Your journey begins with a 1:1 session with one of our experienced psychologists. This initial appointment focuses on:
- Developmental & Life History – Including your childhood experiences, education, work life, and behavioural patterns over time
- Current Concerns – How challenges with attention, focus, or impulse control show up in your day-to-day life
- Executive Functioning Review – Insight into skills like organisation, emotional regulation, memory, and task completion
- Mental Health Screening – To explore any overlapping conditions like anxiety, depression, or burnout
Step 2: ADHD-Specific Tests and Tools
ADHD-Specific Testing and Assessment Tools
We use validated, evidence-based tools—including the Conners 4 (Adult version) and other diagnostic interviews—to assess core ADHD symptoms in adults, such as inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. These tools are tailored to reflect how ADHD manifests beyond childhood.
Step 3: Report Preparation and Interpretation
Report Preparation and Interpretation
After the assessment is completed, our psychologists:
- Score and analyse the test results
- Integrate background history and behavioural observations
- Prepare a comprehensive, easy-to-understand written report
Step 4: Results Review Session
Results Review Session
Once your assessment is complete, you'll meet with your psychologist to:
- Review Your Results – Understand your cognitive and behavioural profile
- Discuss the Diagnosis (if applicable) – Clear, respectful explanation of the findings and how they relate to ADHD
- Explore Tailored Strategies – From executive functioning supports and coaching, to lifestyle changes, therapy, and workplace accommodations
Our goal is to empower you with self-understanding—not just provide a label.
