HealthSync Care

Our mission is to shake up traditional healthcare by providing compassionate, timely assessments and diagnoses, enabling individuals, whether it’s an autism assessment for a child or support for an ADHD teen, to access the care they need sooner and thrive within their communities.

Our aim is to achieve 3 things:

  • Speed up the assessment process so that children can have access to the supports they need sooner, whether it’s for ADHD, Autism/ASD or another condition.

  • Reduce the mental load for parents and carers by having the complete process in one place—one clinic, one timeline, one point of contact. If you’re looking for a paediatrician in Sydney, we make it easier to find the help you need.

  • Provide quality assessment, diagnosis, and care with a focus on conditions like ADHD services and more.

Our assessment and therapy plans are tailored to individual needs and delivered by a qualified team. We champion quality, evidence-based care and believe every person should be supported to reach their highest potential.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose HealthSync Care and how does therapy work?

HealthSync Care is on a mission to empower children and their families. We pride ourselves on a speedy assessment process that allows children to access support faster, as well as a quality assessment backed by compassion, and a centralised point of contact that removes unnecessary admin and mental load—that means one clinic, one timeline, and one point of contact.

We will communicate with you to better understand your concerns and your child’s challenges and put together an assessment plan for your child. Once the assessment is undertaken, we can provide ongoing therapy to support your child’s emotional, behavioural and developmental needs. The duration, frequency and mode of therapy depends on your child and their needs. Our assessment and therapy is personalised and individualistic.

Additionally our psychologists believe in holistic practice and as such will also guide you and your family on how to help your child at home and school.

We provide a number of services, including ADHD and Autism assessment, cognitive assessment, paediatric consultation, and ongoing therapy and support.

What is included in an assessment at HealthSync Care?

An assessment with us is a pathway rather than a single appointment, and it is designed so a family comes away understanding what is happening for their child and what to do next.

It includes:

  • A parent interview to understand your child’s history, what you are noticing at home and what school has raised.
  • Standardised assessment tools chosen for your child’s situation: the ADOS-2 and ADI-R for Autism, Conners EC or Conners 4 for attention, and tools such as the WISC-V for cognitive and learning profiles.
  • Input from more than one discipline, with our registered psychologists and paediatrician working through the findings together, alongside occupational therapy input where relevant.
  • Diagnostic clarification and care planning through paediatrician review, including medication where clinically appropriate.
  • A feedback session where a clinician talks you through what was found, what it means day to day, and the strengths that came through alongside the difficulties.
  • A written report you can take to a school or use in an NDIS application, with practical recommendations rather than test scores alone.

Because the psychology, paediatric and occupational therapy input sits in one place, families are not managing referrals between separate practices or repeating their child’s story to each one.

Can I claim Medicare or NDIS?

Psychology. With a GP referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan, Medicare covers up to 10 sessions a year, a rebate of $101.55 with a registered psychologist and $149.05 with a clinical psychologist.

Paediatric consultations. A GP referral gives you a rebate on the initial consultation and on reviews.

Assessment pathways. Some components can be eligible for a rebate, particularly where the paediatrician is involved. Where an assessment leads to a diagnosis, this can also open access to Medicare-funded allied health sessions.

Occupational therapy. Aligned to the NDIS price guide and claimable in full by self-managed and plan-managed participants.

We will always give you your out-of-pocket cost, not just the full fee, before anything is booked.
